On Saturday we crossed the border to Slovakia to go and see the
ruins of the castle in Filakovo (Fülek). The 5-storeyd Bebek-tower is restored, and there is an exhibition in it. You can go on some parts of the walls, too. An interesting point to this visit was that an ancester of mine was given the title of a noble in this very castle back in 1668. This is why I was wearing a T-shirt with our coat-of arm that day:-)
On the journey there the kids read their
booklet I have prepared for them, so they were looking for things mentioned there.
Szombaton
Fülekre mentünk, a várat néztük meg. Előre elolvastuk a kis
füzetkéket, így már ismerősebb volt az egész.
A vár személyes érintettséggel is bír: egy távoli ősöm itt kapott nemesi rangot 1668-ban. Ennek örömére aznap a címeres pólónk volt rajtam (meg többünkön a családból)
