Peppa Pig Comic / Peppa magazin Angliából

One of the kids' gift from our Wellsh friends was a Peppa comic (they still love Peppa and watched the Peppa's Christmas episode numerous times this season:-) )
Karina is working in it now in the afternoons while Barni is having a nap. Let me advice you to

Reading in English / Olvasás angolul

I am amazed!!! I was listening to a story Karina was reading outloud in English - of a little book she saw for the first time!!! I recorded some of it.

Szóhoz sem jutok! Karina angolul olvas magának egy kis könyvecskéből, amit most lát először! Gyorsan előkaptam a fényképezőgépet, és felvettem valamennyit belőle.

I have an earlier recording of the same series where she is reading one of the early books from Early bird readers. She had seen that book many times before the actual reading and she had read the flashcards several times. With yesterdays recording it was the first time for her to see this book No10.

Waiting for Father Christmas / Télapóvárás

Father Christmas arrives to Hungary on 6th December - in time to get back to the English-speaking world by 24 December:-) You are supposed to clean your boots and leave them by the window/door so that FC can fill them up during the night. No fireplaces, no chimney, no stockings here...

Az első jelenetet mi Karinával bábként fogjuk előadni, felvett hanganyaghoz játszva.

Röviden: A betlehemi istállóban megjelenő emberek nagy meglepetést okoznak az ott élő állatoknak.

A másik jelenetet sógornőm írta. Ahhoz is előre felvesszük a hangot, de mindenki a saját hangjára fog bábozni. Csak így egyszerűbb, mint ha szöveget kell tanulnunk:-) A címe: Csodacsillag

Patchworking / Foltvarrás

We have received an invitation for learning the basics of patchworking. Karina and myself went along and made our first bits: 2 coasters + a centerpiece to go with it. She is very proud of them:-) I let her do the cutting and the positioning and only helped as little as possible. Frends of ours did the sawing - we don't have a machine...
Thank you, Carol, Margitka and Ági for letting us having a go!! We enjoyed it very much!



Foltvarrásra kaptam meghívót, sé karina persze rettenetesen jönnia akrt. Sms-ben kaptunk is rá engedélyt, így együtt mentünk "varrni tanulni". Két poháralátétet és egy nagyobb alátétet készítettünk. Karina választotta az anyagokat, ő vágta ki és rakta össze a mintát. Én csak éppen csak igazítottam rajtuk egy kicsit. A varráshoz segítséget kértünk és kaptunk, mivel gépünk nincs (tudásunk meg pláne nincs...)
Karina borzasztó büszke az alkotásunkra, azóta azzal kell terítenünk... Vasárnap vendégünk volt, feldobta az asztalt az új készletünk. Nem?

Electronic educational games / Elektromos oktato jatekok

Although I can`t find these sold on the internet, I love them. There is this series of book called Smart Start Electronic Library System that goes together with an electronic device. You have to choose among four answers, and you can also choose from several different topics.
I found only one book on Amazon:-(
Karina played with one of these in these last few days, and I find it very helpful and fun at the same time. Photoes to come later... If anyone finds these sold on the net, please let me know.



The other is called Questron.
According to Wikipedia, `Questron was a battery-operated, interactive educational toy introduced in 1987 by Child's Play Ltd [1]. Used in conjunction with special books, the reader could press the tip of the pen-like Questron to an answer to a question - with audible and visual guides showing whether the selected answer was right or wrong.
There is a set of 11 books+wand on sale in the UK for only £2.50+pstg.
We haven`t tried this one (she liked Smart Start too much...) but it seems very good too.

Pass the pigs / Dobokocka helyett malacok

We just found this lovely game where simply trow two `dices` that happen to be pigs. You get points for different positions: 1 point if they are both on their sides, 5 ponts for standing on his legs etc. The aim - for us - is to practise additions. But it is fun to play with for older kids /adults too. Karina loves it!!! I`ll add photoes later... Oops, we were so busy playing that I took no photoes at all... However, I have the score sheet with her neat handwriting, you can see that here:-)



Felfedeztunk egy klassz jatekot osszeadas gyakorlasahoz. Ket malackat hasznalunk dobokocka helyett, es pontokat gyujtunk. Kul. pozicioert kul. pont jar. Ha talpraesik, 5 pont, ha oldalara, 1 pont stb. Nemc sak osszeadni kell oket, hanem vezetni is a pontokat - Karinanak ez most nagyon jokor jott, hiszen most tanuljuk irni a szamokat... Mellesleg nem csak elsosoknek hasznos, jo moka vele jatszani. Fenykepezunk is, de csak egy bo het mulva tudom a kepeket feltolteni... Ajaj, annyira belemerültük a játszásba, hogy bár sokszor játszottunk vele, nem fényképeztem. Viszont a gyönyörűen vezetett pontokat eltettem, gyorsan lefényképezem nektek legalább azt...

More pumpkin activities / Még mindig sütőtök

There is a preschool pack about/with pumpkins at Carisa's! They are also good for Letter P/Letter L.

Carisa-nál vannak újabb sütőtökös nyomtatható anyagok itt! P illetve L betűkhöz is jó feladatok. Vagy inkább T-hez, ha valaki magyarosítja...

A day with the Good News Foundation / Irodalmi napon voltunk

Karina has collected plenty of Christian literature there, on of them was a borad game made by my mom called The ladder reaching to Heaven. We played with it that very night. Barni was enjoying his books meanwhile.

Morning devotion / Reggeli áhítat

We use the Find out series from Scripture Union Bible Ministies. There is a verse or two to read from the Bible, a little story and a prayer to say. It takes less than 5 minutes to do this, and gives us a good start:-)

Pumpkins / Sütőtök

I am printing pages from 2 teaching mommies, mainly for Karina. We already have a big pumpkin to make a lantern from, using Carisa's poem. And also there is Danielle's card to make. I just have no idea when we find the time to do all these...



Most nyomtatgatok innen, főleg Karina részére. A nagy tök pedig már készen vár a pincében arra, hogy életem első töklámpását megcsináljuk belőle. Eddig sosem csináltam ilyet, mert a Halloweent butaságnak tartom. De most találtam Carisánál ezt az ötletet, amit meg akarok majd a Bibliaköröseimmel is csinálni.
A lényege: a tök Jézus szeretetét sugározza:
a szemek csillagból - a Jézus születését jelző csillagra utal.
az orr a kereszt - Jézus meghalt értem
a száj egy hal - a keresztyének jele
És akkor még ugye ott van Danielle-nél a képeslapcsinálás is...
De hogy mikor győzzük mindezt megcsinálni... Gőzöm sincs...

Letter B / B betű

We are starting Letter B this week. You can find free printables at Carisas.
He enjoyed dot-painting with me, and he copied my saying "Letter B" at every dot being painted. He does not understand the purpose of this activity at all, but we did use the dot-paint.

Marking the words with chesnut - gesztenyével jelöljük a  keresett szót.

A héten elkezdjük a B betűt angolul. Carisa nyomtatható anyagait itt találod!
Nagyon élvezte a pöttyözést! Igaz, hogy abszolút köze nincs hozzá, mit is kéne csinálni, de gyakorolja a műveletet:-) És mivel én a  bemutatásnál mondtam minden pöttynél, hogy "Letter B", ő is mondta lelkesen!
